Why is a request for help in translating language files and mods for a modded form of phpBB considered spam on phpbb.nl?
We want it in Dutch for u guys, we already speak English: phpBB's first language (and at this rate, its only language!!)

I PM'ed Carlo already about this issue. I had the same opinion as you had, so maybe he'll reopen the topic.
I consider your topic not as spam, i like to hear more about your project.

I edited the post, so its better readable and not spam anymore, also opened it again, its not the fact i dont like it or so, indeed i like it very much, however the way you promoed it was much more like spam then the thread did suggest, now its allright!!!

Well firstly, apologies for my terrible Dutch. I've never actually formally learnt the language, just worked out where it differs from English and German. I can imagine it's in need of improvement.
IntegraMods is a phpBB project run by masterdavid on his website (link below). His aim is to build an admin-controlled portal that works in a similar way to php-nuke or ezPortal and fully integrates with phpBB.
His other aim i think is to integrate as many mods together and solve any conflicts that may arise between them.
As this is his project, it's best u discusss the actual project with him.
My part is that I need a forum in as many EU-languages as possible and right now, Dutch is the second most important of these after English. Like u I've become very interested in masterdavid's IntegraMod and IM Portal project but if i'm to use it, I need it in Dutch.
phpBB offers us 2 ground-breaking technologies:
[1] Upgrades and Modifications
[2] A multi-lingual forum interface.
But therein lies a problem. Not all mods are translated into other languages so a multi-lingual forum ends up with the core being in different languages and all the mods being in English. A forum with a lot of Mods becomes a forum in English with a touch of other languages available here and there.
As masterdavid's phpBB project is so forward-thinking, I didnt want other languages, countries and communities to be left behind and yet another amazing project is only available in that default language of English!
Just imagine joining a Star Trek forum in Belgium/Holland and having to operate the site in English and should u want to attend a Star Trek Convention in Antwerp or Amsterdam, u hav to communicate with your fellow Dutch-speakers online in English. That's not my idea of a phpBB "European Community".
