Fout bij account activering aanzetten

Als ik in het administratiepaneel bij de configuratie van het forum de optie aanzet om gebruikers door de beheerder te laten activeren krijg ik de volgende melding te zien:
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, mailadres@mijndomein.nl and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
De rest van het forum werkt prima, ook als ik de optie op het activeren door de gebruiker zet werkt het goed.
