Oke: slechte instructies op het phpbb site om deze update te doen via de "gewijzigde bestanden"
Ik wil alleen maar de versie 2.0.13 updaten naar de versie 2.0.17
-ik heb de 2.0.17 (gewijzigde bestanden) in de map forum geplaatst op mijn computer ( deze hebben de originele bestanden overschreven)
- daarna een upload naar de server toe en het blijkt dat bij het uploaden geen wijzigingen in de forum server files optreden (dreamweaver geeft altijd gewijzigde bestanden aan, maar hier niet?)=> vreemd want ik overschrijf de 2.0.13 bestanden op de server met die van de 2.0.17 op mijn computer?
En verder ?.................

Altijd hetzelfde gekloot met die software : moet eerst een hele studie maken om even te upgraden

Ik vond dit nog : wat het betekent : hoe het werkt word niet duidelijk

This package contains a number of archives, each contains the files changed from a given release to the latest version. You should select the appropriate archive for your current version, e.g. if you currently have 2.0.16 you should select the phpBB-2.0.16_to_2.0.17.zip/tar.gz file.

The directory structure has been preserved enabling you (if you wish) to simply upload the contents of the archive to the appropriate location on your server, i.e. simply overwrite the existing files with the new versions. Do not forget that if you have installed any Mods these files will overwrite the originals possibly destroying them in the process. You will need to re-add Mods to any affected file before uploading.

As for the other upgrade procedures you should run install/update_to_latest.php after you have finished updating the files. This will update your database schema and increment the version number.

Opzich lijkt me dit toch wel aardig duidelijk:

Je haalt uit de package gewijzigde bestanden de install map. Die upload je, je surft naar jewebsite.nl/forum/install/update_to_latest.php je leest even wat daar staat en kijkt of er geen fouten zijn.

En vervolgens gooi je de map install er weer af.

Ja het is me nu duidelijk met het updtaten via de url

als ik dat doe
Dan geeft hij aan verwijder de instal map
Wat nu !!!!
