Ik ben nieuw hier en heb een paar vragen.

Ik wil graag phpBB op een commerciele site plaatsen. Mag dit?

En is het mogelijk om het menu in de admin aan te passen? Bijvoorbeeld als ik enkele menu-items wil verwijderen.

Ik heb wel site site's gezien die commercieel zijn en het gebruiken, ik weet niet 100% zeker of dat mag.

Nee, je kan in de admin geen menu optie's weghalen, dat moet je doen door in de overall_header.tpl gewoon verwijderen en/of toevoegen.

phpbb is helemaal gratis en ook commercieel gratis. Dat is het geode van phpbb. Je mag het ook helemaal aanpassen als je de copyright maar laat staan.

Inderdaad, als ik het goed heb begrepen is het enigste wat niet met phpBB mag, is de code van phpBB zelf verspreiden en daar geld voor vragen...

Dat is één van de fundamenten in de license, ja.

Niet helemaal waar, je mag geld vragen voor de broncode zolang je maar aangeeft waar de broncode ook gratis te verkrijgen is.
